Planning for my trip to Bangkok

I am planning for a weekend getaway to Bangkok. Am thinking of going for a shopping spree and to experience the food and culture. Will be doing some research on the web. If any of you have good recommendations, pls drop a note on my blog. Thanks!

Bangkok is so full of culture. During the evening, the street vendors set up their shops. You can find all kinds of neat crafts--from leather purses to clothing, etc. The best part, you can haggle price on everything. In fact, they expect you to.
When I was there two years ago, I found a street vendor selling hand-carved wooden chopsticks in small embroidered sleeves. Very nice. I bought about 30 pairs and gave them as gifts--a little memento--to coworkers and friends.
The exchange rate for the US dollars is very good and you'll find you can afford a lot.
Beware of pickpockets though. Have a blast!

I went to Bangkok last year. You should visit Chatuchak Market... There are so many things there and you can even bargain till you drop...ha ha...

Have fun on your upcoming trip!!
